I’ve been working on defining my role as the Business Equality Advocate since roughly May 2016. I was so busy I didn’t have (or take) time to blog. What an amazing experience. I proved a great deal to myself and courage, determination and vision were all qualities that I can truly say I have.
I’ve decided to devote some time to make sure that I can achieve my personal goals now that my professional goals/objectives are well on their way. I’ve allowed my health and fitness to suffer while I worked on my business. I feel like one day I woke up and everything was out of whack. Now I have to get things back in order health-wise and get back to enjoying fitness. I’ve completed 6 marathons since 2000 with the last one being in 2015. I’m not sure I can (or if I’m interested in) another marathon, but I am definitely interested in feeling good. I have experienced major knee pain and stiffness for the past year (having never felt this in my life)… it hasn’t been fun. I intend to turn this around beginning today.
I’ve decided also to do a bit of fund-raising over the next 20 weeks for two non-profit causes that are near and dear to my heart. If you’re interested in keeping track with my fitness and fundraising progress, I’ll post along my journey. This blog is a way of keeping myself accountable. -R
